Vingårdens beskrivelse:
The grapes for the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon come from the finest vineyard sites in the best appellations of Napa Valley, including the Sequoia Grove Estate and Tonella Estate Vineyards in Rutherford, as well as select parcels from top growers, including Morisoli and Beckstoffer in Rutherford, Stagecoach in Atlas Peak, Lamoreaux in the Oak Knoll District and Healy in St. Helena. All fruit is hand sorted before undergoing a cold soak followed by inoculation with French yeast strains. Individual wines are fermented in small batches with daily pump-overs. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and is further aged in oak before bottling.
HARVEST NOTE
The 2022 vintage is one of exceptional quality. The growing season began with some heavy rains in late 2021, though the beginning of 2022 was very dry. With a cool spring, crop loads were slightly smaller than normal due to the drought conditions. The early part of the growing season was near ideal, with excellent spring and summer weather. A classic Labor Day heat wave pushed concentration and propelled the vintage to one of the most condensed with one of the earliest starts and finishes for Sequoia Grove. The 2022 vintage should prove to be a rich vintage of lush fruit, great complexity, and balance.

Enticing aromas of cherries, pomegranate, pluots, and bramble. On the first sip, experience a smooth, lush entry that unfolds into a rich palate of dry herbs and juicy black raspberries. This well-structured, medium-to-full-bodied wine delivers an elegant, mouthwatering finish with notes of blackberry jam, black pepper, and tobacco, complemented by refined cocoa powder tannins from its Rutherford fruit core.
