VINTAGE: 2016 was another great vintage, despite the drought; a mild winter and spring caused an early bud break. The season began and
concluded early, a very warm summer yielded a very small crop and most vineyards only delivered 50-60% compared to the norm.
TASTING NOTES: The 2016 Proprietary blend delivers a glorious nose of blackberry, raspberry and cassis with gentle hints of pie spice and charcoal. Full-bodied and intense, the wine hits the palate with polished waves of sweet, mouth-coating tannins and rich flavors of black currant, fig and savory tobacco.
AGING: 29 months in new Bossuet and Vicard French oak barrels.
This Cabernet Sauvignon is a big and bold expression of Napa Cab and will age beautifully. Drink now or age through 2020-2028.
