VINTAGE: 2015 was another great vintage, despite the drought; a mild winter and spring caused an early bud break. The season began and
concluded early, a very warm summer yielded a very small crop and most vineyards only delivered 50-60% compared to the norm.
TASTING NOTES: Lush, ripened blackberry is supported by layers of vanilla and hazelnut among hints of licorice and juniper berry. The
palate begins rich and round, gradually giving way to weight bearing, mouth-filling tannins and a nice smooth silky finish.
AGING: 28 months in new Bossuet and Vicard French oak barrels.
This Rutherford valley floor Cabernet Sauvignon is big, complex, elegant, perfectly balanced and will age beautifully. Drink now, but decanter for 45 minutes or age through 2019-2037.
