Legendariske Stagecoach leverer her stor og kompleks Cab-Franc som er helt uden de grønne noter. Der er derimod et væld af brombær, kirsebær, peber, cedertræ og hints af flødekaramel. Disse smelter harmonisk sammen i den lange finish, som bare bliver ved og ved.

Oestermann Family Wines er en far-datter-duo, baseret i Napa Valley. Fokus er topvine til fair priser. Efter at have været en del af Tech-miljøet i Silicon Valley, besluttede Klaus i 2009 at forfølge sin passion. Over ni årgange er produktionen nu vokset, til en stadig beskeden produktion på ca. 450 kasser.
Filosofien er; begrænset produktion af enkeltmarksvine af enorm høj kvalitet, fra de allerbedste parceller. Druerne kommer udelukkende fra legendariske vinmarker, som må anses for nogle af de bedste. Dette, samt den lave produktion, taget i betragtning, er prisen usædvanlig fair. A true bargain!
Producentens beskrivelse af Napa Valley | Stagecoach Vineyard
Stagecoach Vineyard is rich in story, rock, and perennial high scoring wines. One of the largest, most beautiful, and highly acclaimed vineyards from which we source, Stagecoach climbs between 900 and 1700 feet up the southern face of Pritchard Hill to Atlas Peak. The site is planted to a wide range of varietals and rootstocks and features several distinct microclimates. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 we sourced our Cabernet Sauvignon from the small, steep Block 7 near the top of the site. This section is lower yielding than most of the vineyard. This south-facing fruit consistently produces slow ripening high-quality fruit. In 2017 onwards we are sourcing our Cabernet Sauvignon from the Pritchard Hill section of the vineyard where we have been sourcing the Cabernet Franc since 2016. VINTAGE: 2021 was another great vintage for Napa Valley. A warm spring brought on early flowering and ideal growing season provided excellent conditions for fruitfulness and a perfect ripening of the fruit.
TASTING NOTES: Built around a rich core of wild berries, sweet oak and dark fruit, the 2021 Cabernet Franc vintage from the Prichard Hill part of the Stagecoach vineyard reveals complex aromas of mocha, blackberries, tobacco and anise. The 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, both from Stagecoach Vineyard as well as the 2% Merlot, adds a nice mid and back palate experience complementing the well balanced front palate. The wine is full bodied with a beautiful texture, polished tannins and balanced acidity.
AGING: 26 months in new Bossuet and Vicard French oak barrels. This mountain Cabernet Franc is complex, perfectly balanced and will age beautifully. Drink now, but decanter for 20 minutes or age through 2025-2045.
